Several were retired due to age or infirmity. Some were sold due to an inability to be trustworthy or from some vice. Some members are no longer active in the company and thus their horses are no longer reenacting. Some horses have died due to age or the misfortunes of life.
The 9th Virginia is accepting new memberships now.
